Recorded live in one take. _________________________ Shashwat Bulusu or BULLU is a singer-songwriter and a visual artist from Baroda, Gujarat pushing the sonic aesthetic of guitar-centric, laidback folk-pop music. His music is bathed in deep melancholy and stories, strung together with his high pitched falsetto drawls. His atmospheric, slow- burning compositions that, despite their unobtrusive nature, will absorb you. The song is a product of Shashwat’s bedroom project. It’s the only poem he ever wrote; about a friend who finds joy in anything but the moon. Shashwat isn’t appreciative of the moon or the people who worship/ romanticise/ fetishise the moon. Hence, it’s a reaction against such lunar leanings. Recorded live in one take. _________________________ Aditi Ramesh is a jazz/blues Carnatic vocalist, songwriter, bandleader and producer based out of Mumbai. She is known for her strong hold on tonal modulations and her ability to mix classical Carnatic music with jazz. Formerly a corporate lawyer, since quitting in the end of 2016, her musicality has experienced  exponential growth. Her debut EP, ‘Autocorrect' has been listed as one of the top 10 EPs of 2017 by Rolling Stone India. Apart from her solo project, she plays keys and sings with Ladies Compartment and is a part of a cappella and beatbox ensemble, Voctronica.  The song Folders is inspired by a conversation Aditi had with her flatmate about having to balance her day job and her music career. Sometimes pursuing what you love involves a lot of behind the scenes hard work that is externally not visible, and is unbelievable to others when they hear of what it entails. At the end of a long day, you don't want to think about every little thing you need to do, you'd rather just do it. So, you live in the present and compartmentalise your life into folders. Before graduating from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Sanjeeta began her journey in music training in Hindustani Classical music and Kathak while also exploring jazz, RnB, flamenco and Latin styles. She has performed at venues across India, Boston and Spain including Panama Jazz, NH7 Weekender, Magnetic Fields and Hornbill Festival. As part of her personal project, she previously released two singles, ‘I Will Wait’ and ‘Natsukashii’ as well as her first Hindi/Urdu collaboration titled, ‘Shams’. “Thinking of you is like re-reading my favourite book even though I already know how the story ends”. Pensarte, meaning “The thought of you” or “thinking of you” is a song I wrote with my friend Viayra Rivera Cariño. It talks of love and of loss, a love that cannot be but you accept with all your heart. I decided to add a part of a Bulgarian Folk tune called Zaidi Zaidi towards the end as it complimented the vibe of the rest of it. Written on a simple harmony, I believe Pensarte reflects a lot of my influences into a single song- hints of classical and folk roots.
